Week 13 - The Ripple Effect

Week 13 seems fitting as a sad reminder how fragile life is, and short. I thought it was a timely reminder...
***I lost a friend during this Covid-19 isolation and it made me think. As I read the beautiful tribute written of her, I realized the profound affect my friend already had on me. We each have an effect on one another, big or small, like the ripples of a stone caste into water.
I’d like each of you to consider those people you love and care about and what they mean to you. Tell them now, while they are still with you. I know I miss my friend. She was a wonderful, talented, beautiful, kind and loving, selfless person. The world is much smaller without her in it. I only hope I expressed that well enough the last time I saw her.
Her memorial cannot be held until after this crisis is over, leaving part of the mourning process open and unhealed. This crisis is affecting the world in much more than economics. It is taking the human element out of everything we do. We need contact with each other, especially in times of trial.
Say ”hello” from your front porch to the family bicycling together, call or video chat with a friend who lives alone, offer to pick up a needed supply for an at risk person and leave it on their doorstep, send a virtual hug out, and stay positive. We will get through this together.
If we are connected by my words, blood, or actions, know I am thinking of you in kind and loving ways, stored with beautiful memories, even if we cannot be together physically. #michelenimtz***
